'Soul Intent' is now on sabbatical and will announce details of forthcoming events on this site.

The 'Listings' page has future dates for 'Soul Intent' and other Modern Soul nights, (promoters please send e-flyers for inclusion) and nights are regularly reviewed (feel free to make a contribution).
The 'Archives' page does what it says on the tin; it archives all the playlists from all the previous DJs and all the earlier event reviews.

We've sort of adopted the following phrase as our by-line:

A Melodious Thunk ... Dancefloor Jazz @ Red Bar Wakefield
Last saturday of every month 2009 ... free entry 8pm - 1am
all-era ... all-flava jazz for the dance-floor.

I think we now have an exciting fresh site, that brings us firmly into 2010 - with detailed track listings of all items, soundbites and scans for each release. With a much more user friendly design and layout.
There's a player incorporated into the site, so no need to redirect off to another medium to listen !!
Along with several other features including a TOP 10 CHART, FEATURED MUSIC and NEW RELEASE sections on the homepage. Plus a new NEWSLETTER list subscription that'll send out directly to your email address twice a week and include all the brand new releases available each week on it. You'll also be able to listen to all of the new releases from the newsletter, as well as on the website itself.

Jukebox for all who have complained about the lack of tunage on this site ... Sound files are cut to low quality so you can play in the office or at home, but if any copyright owners / artists want any of the sound files removed just drop me a mail and I will happily remove.

Third lot of tunes loaded are currently on serious rotation in the Burgess household,
again it's a mix of old and new, but it all sounds fresh. I hope that you enjoy them.
